Create Queries

Creating queries for each list tells Exact Target what data to bring into Apmetrix. You will be creating six (6) queries – one for each data extension. The queries below use the same names as the data extension names for ease of reference. You SHOULD NOT alter the query syntax in ANY WAY. You may copy the syntax below and paste it into the Query field.

Query

Syntax

Apmetrix_All_Subscribers

select ListName as [Group Name], count(*) as [Group Count] from ENT._ListSubscribers

where status not in ('unsubscribed', 'held') and ListName = 'All Subscribers'

group by listname

Apmetrix_Group_Data

select ListName as [Group Name], count(*) as [Group Count] from [_ListSubscribers]

where status not in ('unsubscribed', 'held') and ListType = 'Group'

group by ListName

Apmetrix_List_Active

select ListName as [List Name], count(*) as [List Count] from [_ListSubscribers]

where status = 'active' and ListType != 'Group'

group by ListName

Apmetrix_List_Bounced

select ListName as [List Name], count(*) as [List Count] from [_ListSubscribers]

where status = 'bounced' and ListType != 'Group'

group by ListName

Apmetrix_List_Held

select ListName as [List Name], count(*) as [List Count] from [_ListSubscribers]

where status = 'held' and ListType != 'Group'

group by ListName

Apmetrix_List_Unsubscribed

select ListName as [List Name], count(*) as [List Count] from [_ListSubscribers]

where status = 'unsubscribed' and ListType != 'Group'

group by ListName

Note: Users can get an error using the syntax above for Apmetrix_All_Subscribers that depends on the permissions that Apmetrix has to your Exact Target account. If you encounter a The “Ent.” Prefix can only be used to query data in a parent account from a child account. error then use this syntax for Apmetrix_All_Subscribers instead.

select ListName as [Group Name], count(*) as [Group Count] from [_ListSubscribers]

where status not in ('unsubscribed', 'held') and ListType = 'Group'

group by ListName

FTP Repository

The FTP Repository is NOT available through the Exact Target website.

If you want to use the FTP Repository, you must contact Exact Target and ask for this feature.

When you contact Exact Target, instruct them to dump the file into a file that, generically, is called et_apmetrix_filedate.zip. Specifically, the file name would look like et_apmetrix_20140327.zip.

Once Exact Target has completed this, the client needs to give Apmetrix the user name, password, and the root folder where the file is located.
